Our Story

Owner Jaime Lara built Auto City Repair into a true one-stop shop for San Francisco drivers, handling everything from routine maintenance and engine diagnostics to full auto body and collision repair. We service domestic and import makes alike — every vehicle gets the same careful attention.
We founded this shop on the idea that everyone deserves respect and a straight answer. Our hard-to-miss orange building near 8th and Folsom has become a neighborhood fixture, and we treat each customer who walks in with the honesty and care that has kept SoMa drivers coming back for over 25 years.
